Rides this week / weekend?

Anyone planning on rides this week or weekend? The weather looks kind of iffy for the next 2-3 days, so I'm playing the week by ear. However, the weather for the weekend is supposed to be perfect for riding.

I might get out tonight for something short and simple, or maybe the Trailnet ride.

Wednesday - watching weather - hoping to do the Trailnet ride.

Saturday - I know Brian is doing the Lake Saint Louis Tri - best of luck to you! What time is the start and the tentative finish? I'm hoping to ride that morning early. Maybe 3-4 hours, probably rolling anywhere from 7:00 to 8:00 - done by noon or so. Guessing 45 - 60 miles. Roll from my house to meet others, or meet at Roark's?

Sunday - I'm planning on doing the Trailnet ride in Wentzville. Probably won't ride to this one from my house though! Unless Mark happens to be thinking of riding from his house. I could be talked into riding with him from his house.

Take care,

Mike

My "swim wave" is scheduled to enter the water at 7:45am. I expect to be in the water for 30 to 40 minutes.

The 24 mile bike ride is kind of hilly and I am guessing an hour and twenty to an hour and 30 minutes for this part.

The 10k (6.2miles) run (probably a walk) should take at least another hour and twenty minutes.

That has me finishing somewhere around 11am (if things go well) or later (if things don't go well).

The good news is I am considered 40 years old for this event. The 35 to 39 year old male age group has it's own start time. Once you hit 40 then you get to be in the 40 to 44 year old "co-ed" (thank you Mike for explaining this outdated word to me)group!

One of the reasons I asked is that Lynda is planning on being out there to cheer you on. And it dawned on me today that I could ride out to LSL to get in about a 55 mile ride, and see you too - and then have Lynda take me home. I'll see if we can pull all this together. I'm thinking if I left the house at 6:00 or even 6:15, I'd make it to LSL in time.

I'll keep you posted if I can get this organized.

I am up for riding on Saturday. I will be glad to ride from my house and maybe we meet at Roark's or the visitor's center at Forest Park.

All,

For anyone who is considering being a spectator at the Lake Saint Louis triathlon, the address is:

100 Cognac Ct, Lake Saint Louis, 63367

The swim is in the lake behind the clubhouse. First to enter the water are Challenged Long Course individuals at 7:10 AM.

I believe the parking lot for the clubhouse is the transition area so parking for spectators is along the subdivision streets.

Tentatively I plan to ride from my house at 7:30 am this Sataurday. I will hit the hills of Kirkwood, Grants Trail, Holly Hills, Riverfront Trail, Belfontain, Chambers Road, etc. Its sixtyfive miles with a mixture of hills and flats.

Mike,
No one has said anything about Sunday. I could ride from Marks also or if Mark isn't riding we could do the long route twice.

Mike and Greg, I don't think I will be riding on Sunday. Too much to do around the house. My deck has been completed.

I can't do a long ride Saturday....committed to a casual ride with wife and friends in the afternoon.
I will be at Roark's at 7:30, ride for a while and bale. Roark, I will bring the spare wheel and crank with me.

Planing on the Trailnet ride Sunday as of now.
