Riding Saturday and Sunday

Who is up for riding this weekend. I need to take advantage of both days. I'm thinking a city ride for Saturday. We could ride to Olivette and pick Roark up or you could meet at Roark's house and then into the city. I have a groupon I need to use at SweetArt. I'll plan to leave my house around 7:00 and arrive in Olivette around 8:00.
Sunday, we can start at my house and ride west to Babler State Park and then out to St. Albans and 6 Flags. If we start from my house on Sunday I will have coffee and bagels. I just need to know who is showing up. You start showing up around 7:00 and we'll ride at 8:00.

Sunday July 3rd Ride

Anyone have some thoughts on riding early tommorow morning if there is no rain.  The train could leave my house say 7 am.  Out to either New Town, or into the Old Town of St. Louis itself.

Weekend Rides

Folks,

This weekend is my last chance to ride for two weeks ( I will instead be eating Gelato in Milan).  So here are my plans.

Saturday I will be leaving my house about 9:00 am to get back to those wonderful hills in Kirkwood.  By now everyone knows the route, so if your legs needs a few climbs and fifty or so miles, join me.

Sunday I will be riding for Strawberries and Shortcake with Trailnet.  I hope to start the ride at 9:00 am. This year I hope I don't spend the ride with broken shifters waiting for everyone to return.

Saturday Alternative....or I am not Insane Ride

Folks,

I assume most of you are insane and will be attempting (and failing) to ride the Grand Fondo
The Mondo Fondo- 132 miles, snaking from Augusta, Missouri to Hermann, Missouri and back. With 11,000 feet of climbing the grapes won't be the only thing whining.
So for those like me, both cheap and sane. I will be riding from my house about 9:00 am. To celebrate sanity the ride will head out to St. Charles and New Town.  We will ride about 50-60 miles, and dine on Groupons at the 2nd Street Bike Shop and Cafe.

Old Kentucky Home Tour where Roark Will be instead of MS150!

Folks,

Last year I road the Old Kentucky Home Toeur (OKHT) with the Bradys.  All I can say is a great ride, and thats with Mike and myself bailiing and only doing the 72 mile route.  So this year I plan to go back and enjoy the Boubon infused caramels again.  If your interested let me know and I will try to get enough hotel space at a reasonable space for the group. The ride description follows.

Roark

The 34th Annual Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour, (aka OKHT), is a two-day ride departing from E.P."Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville,Ky. on Saturday, September 10th, with 3mileage routes to historic Bardstown, Ky.

A 50-mile, 72-mile, and a very challenging 102-mile century, which includes the legendary Pottershop Hill ! It is the winner of the League of American Bicyclists Best Century award.

On Sunday, September 11th, there are two routes from Louisville. The 25 mile short route goes out to the Fern Creek Fire Station and back to Sawyer Park. The 50-mile, single-day loop goes out to our FAMOUS " Homemade Cookie Stop" sag stop and joins up with the 2-day riders coming back from Bardstown for the return ride back to Sawyer Park via a gorgeous scenic route.

BikeMO 2011 Fall Harvest & Pumpkin Ride - Oct 15, 2011

All,

We will not be doing the MS ride this year, but that is where Amanda and her friend, Alex, were able to meet up the last couple of years and ride together. We've found an alternative and wanted to see if anyone else is interested in joining. I don't know a lot about it, but here's some of the info that I have:

Sat Oct 15, 2011 9am - http://www.bikemo.org/ - (registration not yet available for 2011, but you can check out stuff from the 2010 ride on the website) - The Missouri Bicycle Federation Presents BikeMO 2011 Fall Harvest & Pumpkin Ride. Ride day registration is $35/person. This fundraiser ride for the MO Bicycle Federation takes place each October and offers 17, 32, 62, and 100-mile routes in the beautiful rural countryside of Mid-Missouri at Holts Summit. Holts Summit is located five miles north of Jefferson City on US Hwy 54. The ride begins and ends at the Holts Summit Plaza shopping at the Route AA/OO exit off of US Hwy 54. The street address is 154 W. Simon Blvd., Holts Summit, MO 65043.

Please let me know if you are interested and we can coordinate.

Thanks.

Saturday Ride

Folks,

Its weekend ride planning time again.  So here is my Saturday plan.  I plan to leave my house at 8:30 am.  I will be riding down town, then up the riverfront trail (over the McKinnley Bridge), next back via Chamber's Road.  So it is flat till the end, then some big rollers for fun when your legs are tired. Figure 40-50 miles of joy.  Mike I can swing by your house a bit after 9:00 am, you can ride till you feel like turning around to head back home.

Sunday I am up for some hills.  So unless someone has another plan, its more of the fabulous hills of Kirkwood.  Once again departing my house at 8:30 am.  This one will be about 40-50 miles also but your legs will think more.
