Babler Forest
One time going up this hill on my mountain bike I said to Dan Baur ...."I would get off my bike and walk but I am going so slow that I will probably fall over before I can unclip!"
At Castlewood, there is a steep gravel road that takes you to the top of the Lone Wolf Trail. I have fallen there while trying to unclip ... pretty much every time.
I think that dot above the mailbox on the right is me. Definitly the steepest hill I've had the pleasure of climbing. You always wish you had just 1 more gear.
It's been well over a year since I rode this hill, and I'm pretty sure I've not been on it since it's been re-paved, so I'm looking forward to it. It's probably the best 1/4 mile hill in our area if you ask me (best as in hardest). I like the hills behind it too - a good little roller-coaster with 3 or so more hills for about 3/4 of a mile back, which dead ends, so you have to do them all again to get out!
