I'm having a pretty crummy week - so I think the cure is to get out on my bike ASAP.
Tom and I are thinking about getting an afternoon ride in on Friday. Maybe 3:30 or 4:00 until dark. I'm not real interested in riding in the dark - but I think we can get a couple of hours in, or ride in the dark a bit. This would probably be some version of a downtown / Forrest Park type of ride.
Mark and I are kind of talking about a ride Saturday too - but we are watching the weather. I'd be up for about anything - morning or afternoon, maybe both. I think Mark is more available for afternoon. I'll be watching the weather. I'll probably use the "I don't want to start in the rain, but willing to start and get wet rule". If the weather is looking up, I'd LOVE to hit some hills - either in the Wild Horse Creek area, or at least the Kirkwood / Marshall / Adams area. If we rain out, Mark and I are also thinking about just catching a late lunch / coffee.
Sunday is probably about the same as Saturday for me.

Friday afternoon may work. I will let you know tomorrow evening. I think Sunday may be the best day to ride this weekend. Let's set a time and we'll see what the weather does.
Let me know what time Sat or Sunday...I need to ride!!!

Mark - pick a time for Sunday - 95% chance I'll be able to make it work.
Friday I'm going to shoot to be home and done with work by 3:00. If Tom is still in I'd say it is a meet at Forrest Park, or meet at my house / his house ride - so let me know. If you are "stuck" downtown after the ride, maybe we can have a light diner at a place like Soda Fountain Square (good price / good food place) in Lafeyette Square.
Ron - throw out a time / place for what you are up for on the weekend, and we'll go from there.
All - if we can make it past Feb 20 or so I think the weather will start to be tolerable more often than not - so we need to get the postesses going.

I like Dan's idea for Sunday. Let's shoot for Kaldi's in the valley for some slow hills. Time to get getting the legs in shape.

Looks like Saturday may be the best day but now I need to go by the funeral home at 10:00 to pay my respects to an old friend. I might be able to get a ride in around 12:30 or 1:00....let me know.

OK - so here is the deal:
Friday - Mike and Tom are in - we will probably be rolling to some degree by 3:30. If you're interested call Mike at 314-239-6229. Tom and I will probably meet somewhere in the SLU area, then go to Forrest Park, and then go home.
Saturday - it looks like Mike and Tom are in - and Ron may be able to hook up somewhere. My proposal is Mike and Tom figure out how to meet and roll around 11:00. We can roll west, even if we start someplace like the Galeria, or Kirkwood Kaldi's. We can roll West for a longish day and if Ron or anyone joins up - great. Call me.
Sunday - looks like Mike, Dan and Mark are for sure meeting at Kaldi's in the Chesterfild valley at 10:00am - maybe Ron too. If you want to ride Sunday - just be there. I'll plan on not being a whimp about weather. I'll for certain be at Kaldi's and if it is raining we'll figure it out over coffee.

Update for Saturday -
I just talked to Ron and Roark, who are both in - so here is the new plan:
Mike and Tom roll from their houses at 11:00. Roark rolls soon after from his house. We three meet at the Synagogue where the Wed night ride starts at around 11:30 or 11:45. We then goof off in that area rolling towards Kirkwood Kaldi's. Plan is to meet Ron there at 12:30. All four of us then ride the Kirkwood / Webster / Ballas area for 1.5 - 2 hours, and then we all start working our own ways home.
Feel like I'm herding cats here - but it's working out! Don't want anyone to miss out on a great day of February riding!
Sunday plan is still the same - Kaldi's in Chesterfield at 10:00 to ride. Lynda and I are going to shoot to be out there at 9:15 or so for breakfast / coffee. Mike is riding. Lynda is not.
