Season End's Riding Plans:

Folks,

It seems with the closing of the season ride coordination is at a end as well. I am going to do my part by posting some of my upcoming plans and rides available. I hope this will motivate you to get on board and on a bike.

Saturday Sept 20th: Hostellings Dog Prairie Century: From St. Paul, on the wall because I have so much respect for this group.

Sunday Sept 21st: Trailnets Flat As A Floodplain: Riding From My House to the Start 50-85 miles depending on routes chosen.

Sunday Sept 28th: Trailnets Tour de Wildwood: Riding From Mark's House 60 miles.

Saturday Oct 4th: Hostellings Sand Creek Century: On the wall because not only do I have so much respect for this group, but I have always avoided this suffer fest.

Sunday Oct 12th: Trailnets Rider The Rivers Century: My house is on the loop, so its 100 miles starting at my house, with registration in St. Charles this year.

Oct 17th - 19th: Hilly Hundred: So far as I know, no hotel rooms have been reserved, and no one has registered.

Saturday Oct 25th: Tour De Bass in Springfield Mo, Rest Stops Every 10-12 miles, 20-100 miles. Inaugeral Ride Sponsored By Bass Pro Shops : If I can find a partner in crime I think I would like to give it a try.

Let hear your thoughts, on this list, on adding to the list and gets some rides going, or I seriously will have to re-acclimate to solo riding.

I may be up for the St. Paul century next Saturday and the ride in St. Charles on Sunday. Probably meet you out there if Nancy wants to ride.

Following week we can start at my house and ride to Lafayette HS. I will have coffee ready.

My thought on Sandy Creek is we could do our own century in this area and enjoy even more.

I will be in Chicago on October 12 and have a Bar Mitzvah on October 18th. We could plan a ride on the 19th.

The 25th is a possibility. We could drive down Friday evening.

Mark,

So your in at least for next weekends rides.

I will also be at your house for the Wildwood Tour.

One other option for Oct 11th is the Maple Leaf Ride (15,35,50,70,100) out of Carthage MO.

I know about that Bar Mitvah, I am attending if there is no Hilly as expected.

Don't forget about the St Peters Triathlon on Sunday October 5. There is still time to register as an individual or a team. The other option is to go and watch me!

I enjoyed the Dog Prairie century last year but can't do it this year. The Sandy Creek Century is not as bad as your 100 miles of hills ride, which we have yet to complete. I've completed the Sandy Creek Century the 3 times I've attempted it. I'm not up for driving to Springfield for a ride. I'm definitely doing the Wildwood and the Ride the Rivers. I may do the Meetup ride on the 21st instead of the Flat as a Floodplain. Dan

Dan are you suggesting one more attempt at 100 miles of hills for the season? I am offering my house as an unofficial rest stop on Ride the Rivers. If you start in St. Charles you pass my house at about mile 75.

I might be up for the Meet Ride on the 21st so many decissions to make and so few good biking weekends left.

Brian good luck on your tri, I am sure you will draw crowds of some sort.

Brian plans to ride on Saturday and I plan to ride on Sunday.

Roark....are you planning to ride by my house Sunday? If so, let me know what time you're leaving your house and I'll be ready shortly thereafter.

Thanks.

Yes I plan to ride by your house on my way through creve coeur park. The start time depends on if we want to make it to pay for the Trailnet ride, or just ride it as scabs.
