Is anybody doing the Flat as a Pancake Century ride on Sunday June 3?

I will be off the bike this Saturday for the deal Mark worked out to attend religious services, get an extra bike ride. I do plan to attend yoga after services at the J at 2:30 pm.

Sunday, as part of the deal Mark worked out, I have to attend an evening event. So my thoughts are to ride from my house over to Corondelet Park for the Fun Club Ride. Its 30 miles to and from my house, so with the Fun Club Route that would put the total distance at 65 miles with some big hills.

I'm out of action for at least a week and a half because of cataract surgery.

Also, my doctor say's no regarding the Tour De Cure....guess I'll have to do short easy rides for a while...bummer.

I will not be riding this weekend. I am leaving for Minnesota tomorrow morning for a funeral and will be back Sunday afternoon.

Roark I am disappointed that I will not see you in Shul on Saturday, take pictures.

Roark (and all),

I know Mark is the cheif negotiator regarding your biking future, but I think I should get some mention as one of the contributors to the original idea. I seem to remember I really helped the idea take shape. Were it not for me you'd still be ditching services and not getting to ride as much. Bad for all.

Greg,

I'm doing my 600k ride this weekend, so no pancake ride for me.

All,

You are welcome to come out and do the 600k. It starts at 5am on Saturday. We get to sleep on this one! Only about 5 hours or so, so we can finish on Sunday, hopefully between 2pm and 6pm.

Mike,

You are hereby officially credited with helping create the concept of Cycle for Shul. I will thank you more when I actually see one of these rides. Right now its just a weekend of suffering.

Mark,

My condolenses, though I am wondering how I ended up in Shul and you did not.

Brian,

Be at my house at 7:30 am. If you find a coffee shop near the start, I will linger there after the ride.

Ron,

Sorry about the blinkies. Your sure polarized goggles wouldnt be enough protection?

Thats it for now,
Roark
