Folks,
This Saturday, Trailnet is doing a 18,35, or 50 mile ride starting from the Lewis & Clark Visitor Center in Hartford Illinois. I have this crazy thought that we could ride from my house, and do at least 18 miles of the Trailnet ride. Our options actually are from my house with the Trailnet miles are 74 miles, 91miles, 106 miles. I am thinking the 74 miles should be enough.
Let me know your thoughts about getting some real miles in Saturday.
Sunday, is Mother's Day so I am at the mercy of my children's mother. I will not be out on any long rides. There might be a ride to Laurmeir Park to meet the family for the Art Festival.

I am out for Saturday morning. I will be in Shul. Let me know about the ride to Laurmier Sculpture Park. I will try to get some miles in on Sunday morning.
For those who are interested - Saturday, May 17 is the Indian Crossing Ride sponsored by HI- USA - it starts in Portage Des Sioux - I plan to ride that one - Sunday, May 18 is the Strawberry Ride.
I need the miles and can ride this Saturday. What time do you want to meet at your house?
If we want to hook onto the Trailnet ride, my suggestion is we leave my house at 8:00 am Saturday.
I haven't seen anybody else responding except Mark. If you're still keen to go, I'll try to be at your house by 7:30(ish).
I just received this email from Trailnet:
The ride start for the Lewis & Clark "Departure Days" Bicycle Ride scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 10 has been changed to the Missouri entrance to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge due to flooding. Registration for the bike ride is 8:30 - 10:00 AM. SAG support is offered until 3 PM and secure parking is provided until 5 PM. Vehicles must be removed from the Missouri bridge entrance parking lot by 5 PM.
